Bringing the Warmth of the Land Online: A Storefront Site for Mountain Made

Web Design

Howdy Creative built a storefront website for the "Mountain Made" brand, combining visual design, product photography, and an online ordering flow into one consistent digital showcase for products from mountain communities.

Challenge

Products under Mountain Made, including native mountain tea grown in Tengzhi, had mostly sold through physical markets or scattered small vendors, with no unified digital platform to carry the brand's quality, and no simple way to order online, leaving the brand's story feeling fragmented across channels.

Goal

The Pingtung Branch wanted a storefront site with a distinct visual style and intuitive navigation, one that would let customers understand the sustainability story behind each product while they browse, and let them submit an order interest through a simple form, with the branch handling every order centrally afterward.

Approach

  1. Designed the site with an earth-toned palette and a warm, layout, matching the natural, unpolished character of mountain products.
  2. Refined product photography and brand storytelling so the texture of items like mountain tea and woodcraft pieces would come through clearly to customers.
  3. Designed a clear category system and a simple ordering flow, streamlining the path from browsing to submitting an order interest.

Outcome

The Mountain Made storefront site launched on schedule, unifying product information and an online ordering form into one consistent digital window for products from the branch's supported mountain communities, one that's easy for the team to manage centrally through its backend.

FAQ

Does a government agency's e-commerce website design differ from a typical brand's?
The main difference is a longer communication chain. Howdy Creative has to account for both the agency's backend order-management needs and the end customer's browsing experience, so the site looks good and is genuinely easy for the agency to manage.
How do you keep a local product website's brand story from getting diluted across many products?
Howdy Creative uses consistent photography and layout so that even as products are clearly categorized, the brand narrative stays unified rather than feeling scattered as the catalog grows.
