Looking Ahead a Decade: Key Visual and On-Site Identity Design for the Organic Agriculture Forum

Brand IdentityPrint & Graphic Design

The Agricultural Technology Research Institute (ATRI) partnered with the Hualien District Agricultural Research and Extension Station to host the 'Looking Ahead a Decade' organic agriculture forum. We designed the key visual and extended it into the event handbook, invitations, banners, and signage, giving a policy forum a consistent, memorable on-site identity.

Challenge

The forum needed to convey the weight of a 'decade-ahead strategy for organic agriculture' to representatives from government, industry, academia, and research institutes, with themes spanning production, materials, certification, market, and environmental impact. The key visual couldn't just look good; it had to capture the spirit of 'looking ahead' while extending into a wide range of on-site items, from the handbook to invitations to signage, all under a tight schedule.

Goal

Design a key visual that embodies the forum's forward-looking spirit, then extend it into a complete, easily recognizable on-site visual system, so representatives from government, industry, academia, and research feel a consistent, warm identity at every touchpoint, from the handbook to the invitation to the signage.

Approach

  1. Presented several directions for the key visual and finalized an 'organic farmland meets smart agriculture' illustration: a winding river connecting rice paddies, grazing cattle, egrets, and friendly farming scenes, layered with drones and IoT sensors to echo the forum's 'looking ahead' theme.
  2. Extended the key visual across more than a dozen on-site items, including the event handbook, invitations, banners, video loops, table cards, hand-held signs, and directional signage, unifying color and imagery throughout.
  3. Coordinated multiple rounds of client review and print vendor communication, proofing every item through to final print files.

Outcome

The forum was held on July 21, 2026 at the Hualien District Agricultural Research and Extension Station's Organic Agriculture Research Center, with a consistent visual identity carried from the key visual poster through the event handbook to the on-site signage, giving a policy forum on organic agriculture's future a clear, memorable visual presence.

FAQ

What does a key visual project for a policy forum usually include?
Beyond the key visual poster, Howdy Creative typically extends it into the event handbook, invitations, banners, video loops, and on-site signage, so attendees see the same visual language from the invitation through to the venue.
How much lead time should a government event visual project allow?
It depends on how many on-site items are needed. For a forum extending into a dozen or more materials, we recommend at least one to two months after the key visual is finalized, leaving enough time for proofing and print production.
