Xiwan Night: Event Identity for the NSYSU EMBA Alumni Association

Howdy Creative designed the event identity for "Xiwan Night," the NSYSU EMBA Alumni Association's annual gathering, covering the key visual backdrop, stage LED visuals, wayfinding signage, and check-in gifts, so the visual language carried through from arrival to send-off.

Challenge

The NSYSU EMBA Alumni Association wanted "Xiwan Night" to be more than a dinner, an event alumni actually look forward to each year. With alumni spanning many class years and industries and a limited event window, the challenge was tying the entrance backdrop, the stage visuals, and the wayfinding signage together under one visual language.

Goal

Build one continuous event identity from arrival to send-off, so the key visual backdrop, stage LED visuals, wayfinding signage, and check-in gifts all shared the same color and composition language, giving alumni a sense of occasion the moment they walked in, and giving sponsor logos a clear, dedicated place to appear.

Approach

  1. Designed the key visual backdrop and a sponsor logo wall as the main photo backdrop at the entrance, unifying the event's color and composition language from the start.
  2. Planned the stage LED visuals, including a welcome graphic and a visual treatment for the live band's performance area, extending the key visual onto the stage.
  3. Designed wayfinding signage using an illustrated character paired with a timeline, helping alumni track the evening's schedule at a glance.
  4. Unified the check-in table and gift items and other identity touches, so the experience stayed consistent from arrival through to departure.

Outcome

The Xiwan Night event identity was completed on schedule and executed live: the key visual backdrop, stage visuals, wayfinding signage, and check-in gifts all came together on the day, leaving the NSYSU EMBA Alumni Association a reusable identity foundation for future annual gatherings.
