Antlers and a Pun: Team Uniforms and Sports Towels for Luyang Badminton

Challenge

Luyang Badminton Hall had a catchy, memorable name but no visual identity of its own. Past team uniforms were just generic vendor templates, so members couldn't tell who belonged to the same club. The hall wanted this uniform and towel order to double as the moment it finally built a simple, memorable identity that would work across multiple print methods and fabrics, so it could reorder in batches as membership grew.

Goal

Design an identity mark that could represent Luyang Badminton Hall's spirit and be applied across the front and back of uniforms and on sports towels. The mark needed to be memorable and hold up over time, and the print methods had to work for both heat-transfer and digital printing, so the hall could order flexibly based on actual member counts.

Approach

1. Built the identity around a pun on the club's name, "Luyang" (鹿揚) sounding like "Look Young," using minimal antler linework in a gold tone that reads as energetic without losing polish.
2. Designed the uniforms in black with gold foil: a small antler mark on the clean front, and the full team name and year on the back, leaving room to heat-press individual members' names as the roster grows.
3. Designed a separate illustrated mascot set for the sports towels, personified deer, bear, cat, and a white-silhouette character each holding a racket, to make the club feel closer and friendlier to its members.
4. Ran a first batch with heat-transfer printing on black to confirm the result, then opened a second batch in digital print, letting the hall reorder flexibly as actual member numbers came in.

Outcome

Luyang Badminton Hall now has its own antler identity and the "Look Young" pun to go with it. Two production batches of uniforms and towels are complete, and members can now recognize each other on court while sharing a sense of belonging to their own club.
